Brightlingsea is open
for business
Brightlingsea Business
Association is working for businesses and the community to try
and make sure that the town remains a special place to live and
work whilst being equally attractive to visitors.
To reach these aims we are constantly looking at ways to improve
the facilities and services in the town, encouraging local
residents to support their local shops and service providers.
The first stage of our programme was to advertise shops in the
town which are empty to encourage new enterprises to open
businesses in the friendly town centre.
We also hope to encourage new commercial projects to develop in
the waterside area to compliment the already vibrant boating and
allied services established there for many years.
In the coming months we will be producing a Business Directory
for Brightlingsea, in which we hope to include as many as
possible, local businesses making local residents aware of the
diverse variety of traders in the town.
This directory will be delivered to every household in
Brightlingsea and Thorrington and copies will also be available
to other outlets such as Libraries, TIC’s etc in the wider area.
To help and encourage businesses and others to consider
Brightlingsea when they are looking to relocate we have produced
a leaflet with details that are relevant when moving location.
We will also be producing further themed leaflets, sports &
leisure facilities, clubs & societies,
accommodation/cafes/restaurants, walking & cycling, local
transport services and Brightlingsea events.
All of the above leaflets are available from the Brightlingsea
Business Association upon request.
