Working for Business and with the Community
Brightlingsea is open
for business.
Brightlingsea business
association is working for businesses and the community to try
and make sure that the town remains a special place to live and
work whilst being equally attractive to visitors.
To reach these aims we are
constantly looking at ways to improve the facilities and
services in the town, encouraging local residents to support
their local shops and service providers.
The first stage of our
programme was to advertise shops in the town which were empty to
encourage new enterprises to open businesses in the friendly
town centre.
We encourage new
commercial projects to develop in the waterside area to
compliment the already vibrant boating and allied services
established there for many years.
To help encourage
businesses and others to consider brightlingsea when they are
looking to relocate we have produced a leaflet with details that
are relevant when moving location. We have also produced further
themed leaflets and most recently a map showing all the
businesses in the town centre and waterside. This leaflet is
available from local shops as well as tourist information
centres and holiday parks etc in the area.
All of the above leaflets
are available from the brightlingsea business association upon
request or can be downloaded from our website.
Looking to the coming year
and the still uncertain economic forecasts, we will continue to
look at new initiatives again making tourism our main priority,
promoting the town and events to visitors thus helping maintain
a sustainable local economy.
This being the year of the
olympics and queens diamond jubilee we trust that the enthusiasm
and hope they create will help encourage more people to visit
the town and attend the full calendar of events brightlingsea
offers during the year.
New members with new ideas
are always welcome so why not contact us and find out more about
the association and what we have to offer.
